Troubleshooting Seal Bar Issues
There are several common steps for troubleshooting seal issues with your Vesta Precision vacuum sealer. Below, we will step through each one, from simplest to advanced.
- If your vacuum sealer has a variable seal time option, ensure the seal time is set to a value greater than 0.
- If your vacuum sealer has a Marinate option, verify that the option is disabled.
- Check the seal bar tape for discoloration, brittleness, etc. A worn-out seal tape can adversely impact the quality of the seal.
- If the seal bar can be removed, remove it and clean the seal bar mounting holes on the underside and the seal bar mounting pegs in the vacuum sealer.
- Test the seal wire's continuity with an ohmmeter. A value of 1 indicates a break in the seal wire, which requires replacement.
We hope this information was helpful and if you continue to have seal issues after checking the above, please contact us.
