Sous Vide Glazed Carrots
PREP TIME: 15 minutes
COOK TIME: 1 hour
1 pound carrots, peeled
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
- Preheat water bath using immersion circulator to 185 degrees F.
- Add the carrots to a vacuum seal bag and add all remaining ingredients, tossing to coat the carrots evenly. Use a vacuum sealer to remove air and seal the bag.
- Add to preheated water bath and cook for 1 hour.
- When carrots are done, remove them from water bath. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat and add the carrots and all liquid in the bag. Cook for 3-5 minutes, until liquid has reduced and coated the carrots.
